A veteran actor, writer, producer and politician. Richard Mofe-Damijo (RMD) is one of the faces of the Nigerian movie industry, today. He is one of the most stylish Nigerian on the stage right now competing favorably with younger artists and in more cases beating them to it at the red carpet.
The Ace actor who turned 57 just last month was Born on 6 July 1961 to a family of 18 in Aladja community of Udu Kingdom, near Warri, Delta State, Nigeria. This former commissioner for Culture and Tourism in Delta State, Nigeria is a graduate of Theatre Arts from University of Benin & Degree in Law at the University of Lagos. Winner of the African Movie Academy Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role in 2005. Richard Mofe-Damijo started his acting career in the late 80s when he featured in the popular TV soap opera – ‘Ripples’. In 1997 he stared in his first Nollywood movie -Out of Bounds. He has since acted over 200 Nollywood movies. His latest is wedding party II released in 2017. Some other movies that stared RMD includes; When God Says Yes(1999), I believe in you (2004), Critical Assignment(2004), Behind Closed Doors(2005),Baby Girl (2005), 30 Days in Atlanta(2014),Wedding Party 1 (2016).
This Stylish Nigerian is married to Jumobi Adegbesan and is blessed with four children.
